Z06 did great against the GTR

If the C7 is to remain competitive, it must have AWD and an electric manual like the Nissan. Or at least an option for this. More hp won't cut it.

You could tell towards the end when he was told the lap times....the driver seemed to like the z06 better, and wanted to say it was probably faster....lol.
You also must say that with more time under the belt with the z06 he would have certainly surpassed the gtr time....and considering how much less involved the gtr is to get good times (awd, auto, etc) you could argue that even with more time with the gtr, theres a limit to how much better he could have done.
same applies as the drag strip - which is apparent with the 11.8 (I think stock ls3's are faster) - he just needs more time with the z06 to get the best times than with the gtr.

GTR 0-60 2.9sec?!?! Wow,that's nuts & I forsee a lot of feelings hurt in stoplight encounters.
As far as lap times go,it was a Buttonwillow. I'd expect the GTR to edge out the Z06 on such a technical track. I'd like to see them ran at a bigger track where the Z06 gets to stretch its legs a bit.

Also the streets of willow is a very short twisty track, the Z06 may actually beat it on the main course. I know with motorbikes, 600cc bikes routinely lap faster on streets course than the 1000cc bikes, but they get smoked by 3-4 seconds plus on the main course.

I'd love AWD just to see the faces on my fellow skiers as I drive my Z06 into the ski resort.
On the other hand, the killer for me is the day they put in a semi automatic transmission.

Weight of car has less to do with acceleration in high speed, wind resistance is everything, GTR has a cw of 0.26. Corvette 0.33
Dont dismiss the GTR
