Cor24vette seems he had another life may have been a Ford man before his conversion and 20+ vettes. Glad you got your stuff together!

I don't know, I would give just about anything to own a real Shelby like that (although I prefer them more restored than modified). It's funny how Shelby's (and most other musclecars) have increased dramatically while our Corvettes haven't kept up (with some exceptions).

The “Eleanor” is something of a reinterpretation of the 1967 Mustang Shelby GT500 that was designed specifically for the movie by Steve Stanford and Chip Foose. Five examples were built for shooting, and only three are said to still be in circulation today.

That Shelby American Inc plate was saved by me and passed on to a good friend who happens to be the #1 "individual salesman" of Corvettes in the world, Mike Furman@Criswell. He has sold over 5,000 Corvettes in his career closing in on 6,000 by now. The plate became loose after I crashed the car back in the day. Both repaint colors were Cadillac Firemist. Looked like it was made for the car. Better pic in my earlier post. That's front spoiler is another mod, but a Ford item. The hood scoop was a mod with the opening size doubled. Hood was fiberglass I think. Been many yrs ago. I'm almost 77 now and 28 Vettes behind me. Got the GT 500 to have something different for a little while plus my best racing buddy back then, John H. Smith Jr., had same year GT 500. He pulled his 428 out & installed a 427. I sold mine w/o a motor intending to do the same eng swap. Crazy things we all did one time or another. Today I was reviewing my Z06 FS thread from back in 2010 which brought up this car in discussion... https://forums.corvetteforum.com/sho....php?t=2742395 . VIN on my '67 GT 500 was 67401F7A02522 w/orig purchase price of $2350 at a usd car dealership in Va. on Aug 9, 1969.
