Why not tires that fit the wheels? Those look stretched to fit on those wheels. Rubbing issues?

That seems to be the new look I see small cars here with wide wheels with tires that barely fit.

They mist have a hell of a time getting them to air up.

Those wheels do look good on that Vdub.

ok, let me throw my other set of sawblades on that have 275/40/17s on them... its a 9.5" wheel on a car that comes with 15x6.5's and a 195 tire. you can fit a 255/40/17 under the stock wheel wells, but thats not the look im after.

actually no, they went on without a problem at all. mounted easier than my last set of 225-45-17s on my old car(oem 17inch size)

my next tire combo is likely to be a 225-45 rear, 215-45 front. just a bit bigger. its a damn diesel, not going 200mph here.

Geez, don't get all spun-up when people on a Corvette Forum don't understand the "hella flush" look. We modify for performance, and tiny tires on giant rims do not perform well. And yes, some 'vette guys do mod just for looks too. But in general our taste is going to vary greatly from the Euro crowd.

Personally, I don't dig the "hella flush" look, nor the sawblades on the TDI. But that doesn't really matter, it's your car do what makes you happy with it! We're all gearheads at the end of the day and tweaking on our cars is what we do. BTW, I'm also interested to see what average mileage you're seeing, also, have you dynoed it after the mods?
