Default Rented camero ss

We rented a Red Camero SS from Avis over the weekend on a trip to Florida. My thoughts on the car an how it compares to my C6.

The Camero rides very nice, and handles very well. I did like the seats and how they supported me. The power was good, but did not set me back in the seat like my C6 does.

I know the car weights over 4300 lbs. but it is'nt close to my 2008 C6 in power and speed. Some of this might be because of it being a rental, possibly renters return it with regluar gas.

1) Camaro
2) 3860 pound curb weight
3) it weighs 600 pounds more on the same drive train, of course it will feel slower

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on your rented Camaro. We all know that it won't perform like a Vette. I do like the way it looks and I love the interior. But, I would never think of trading my Vert for one.

Thanks. Honest to gosh - this has to be the most commonly misspelled car name. CAMARO.

Seriously, can we all just stop comparing a Camaro of any kind to a Corvette of any kind? They just are not in the same group of vehicles. It's like comparing a Beetle to a Porsche. They are completely different vehicles.

I picked up an SUV for work Wednesday Night from Avis at Ft Lauderdale airport. Noticed that they had about a dozen Camaros there. They do look nice.

I'm shocked that you can go to Avis and rent an SS right now! When did rental car agencies start carrying performance cars?

I've seen a lot of V6 Camaro rentals, but that's the first I've heard of a SS.

They've been renting Corvette's, Mustangs, and others for well over a year.

Guess I should have clarified my question a little better.

I just looked on the Avis website, and you can rent a Camaro SS out of Orlando's airport. The going rate? How does $193/day (including taxes/fees) sound???

Love our Camaro. No, it is not as quick as the Vette, but it is no slouch either and it rides and drives great. GM has a winner with it.
