Default Viper Production To End This Year!

http://wot.motortrend.com/6573982/au...per/index.html

Motor Trend reports that Viper production will end this year, and possibly never resume. Dodge states that they will have a new sports car with Italian influence in 2012 that may or may not be called Viper.

This is a really sad way for such a great car to end, but that's what happens when you're nothing more than a division of a foreign auto maker. I guarentee that the Italians that own Chrysler now think very little of the Viper. I didn't see Chrysler as an American auto company when Daimler owned them, and I officially no longer see them as one now that Fiat owns them. If Americans were in power, they would see to it that the Viper lived on.

On a lighter note.... another Vette competitor bites the dust

Yep we'll have to see how it all plays out.

We have a couple insiders on the VCA board that seem to be pretty excited about the "new" car though so who knows.

Keep your fingers crossed definitely not a car we would like to see go away.
