Was curious what it might cost to fix some rust that has started at the bottom of an F150 passenger side door. Its down where the sheets of metal look like they come together and join.

Its hard to say without a picture of some sort.
Most shops do free estimates. Take it to a few local shops and see how much the prices range and average them out.

One trick I learned, reading Grassroots Motorsports, is that panel replacement is usually cheaper than paint/bodywork. It's another option to explore, if you're not happy with the quotes you get from body shops.

See if a local junkyard has a rust-free panel that's in good shape and the same color as your car...you might even check Ebay if shipping doesn't kill the deal.

Rust at the bottom of a door is hard to fix permanently, since the seam there is hard to completely remove rust from. They can sandblast it and/or weld in new steel, but if they don't get all of it, it'll come back. A rust free panel from a Southern car, for example, won't have that problem.
