The best sounding car I have heard was in the late 60's it was my first look and experince with a funny car, back in those days they sounded much different than they do today.
If you ever heard the lope in a larged camed car, magnify this by 10, the lope was so pronounced the car jumped the whole car rocked side to side, it's very hard to discribe but I will never forget it, I only have a tiny pic of the car I will post it.
There is a 17 year old me somewhere in this pic as close to the car as possible..
Big block Cobra on a dyno was pretty cool. Of course an F1 car about twenty feet away from me accelerating out of a corner got tears in my eyes and stood the hairs up on the back of my neck. WOW
i dont care too much for MUSTANGS, but some of them sound awesome with that BASSANI EXHAUST system.
I was gonna say, I've never been a fan of Mustangs, in fact I hated them back in highschool, but nothing sounds better than an old 5.0 with Flow Masters.
Best exhaust note for myself was when I swapped out the blown 301 in my Firebird and starting it back up with the mildly built 400 w/Blackjack Alumakote headers and Cherrybombs hooked up right at the flange. Was sweet music to my ears.
My favorite is a cammed V8. Nothing like the lope of a pushrod V8 with a big nasty cam
This is a 560 Chevy big block ....750 rear wheel ..street legal Nova my nephew built ...It is hard to believe it even idles with the giant cam it has ....
Out of any car? Impossible to say, since there are ultimate flavors of different types of cars that can't be denied. I definitely love to hear engines that can REV and a turbo with open wastegate is always a bonus!
