Default 1940 Ford Flathead

Hi, does anyone frequenting this forum have any technical knowledge concerning the distributor (diving helmet style) in a '40 Ford Flathead, its original, no mods , just as Henry rolled it out 69 years ago , 85 horsepower, 221 C.I.D. I need to put a new set(s) of points in it along with a rotor but cant see how to do it, the dist. is off the motor and I actually have 1 set of points loose from the breaker plate but cant get it out because whats left of the rubbing block is hitting the base of the rotor, it seems to me that I need to take more apart, like an almost complete disassembly, ? ANY BODY got any knowledge about these old flivvers , please let me know, Thanks,,,,& Peace, Moosie

Ever wonder what the speed of lightning would be if it didn't

Thank You for that link, I spent all of Sunday afternoon and evening looking at a ton of websites for info and may have been there also, dunno, I was dizzy from all the looking. What I'd really like to do is to find an old timer that worked on 'em back in the day that still has at least one oar in the water so I could ask him . Peace,,,Moosie
