Default Anyone have any input or experience with the Mercedes R class?

Hey,
We test drove an 07 today fully loaded, he wants 28K and it has 28k miles. Fully loaded.
Any comments good bad or indifferent. We need a people hauler, and we like the crossover concept done well.

RUN, don't walk away from that Mercedes! The following component areas are VERY troublesome:
Transmission
Climate system
Suspension
Body hardware
Audio system
Power equipment

Sadly, Mercedes makes some of the most unreliable vehicles on the planet - bar none. Every one of their models has been troublesome.

You can do much better by staying away from this brand.

They crumple up badly in accidents and are very expensive to fix. Parts take a long time to get, and are not that common, so the part prices are high. I would stay far away.
