Default Your opinion on GM's 3.4L V6 engines

Whats your take on GM's 3.4L V6 engines. I know the 3.8L is solid but whats your opinion about the 3.4L? Are they known to last? Common problems?

Default v6

Not sure which engine you are talking about for sure. My 99 grand am has the 3.4 v6 and I like it. 120,000 miles and it purrs. Uses no oil and no problems.

The dreaded X motor What a pain those were to work on.

The newer 3.4's are a good motor mechanically though. But they are common for intake gaskets leaks and the occasional head gasket leak. The head gaskets were usually caused by the intake not being corrected soon enough by the owner.
