Has anyone driven/owned a 2005.5+ Audi S4?

Not the RS4, but the 340hp V8 S4. Seems like you can get one for under $30K pretty easily, thinking of one for DD purposes. One in particular I'm looking at has 45,000 miles on it, what is the warranty like on these cars? I couldn't find any forums for this car, most of them are for the old 2.7T S4.

Snow performance any good? How's the handling/fun to driver? Comparable to an E46 M3?

I say... Ehhh... You'd think they would be fast with that big V8.
I like them but I really wouldn't own a VW / Audi out of warranty. They like to break for no reason!
I just picked up a E46 M3 Vert for my wife.

A friend of mine is strongly considering one, the Audi dealer here let him take a 07 White S4 with 6 speed for the weekend, its a great car, very sure footed, quick and rock solid. I have driven the 335XI back to back with the S4 and I really liked the way the S4 drove much better...... bimmer was quicker but I would go for the S4

With any german car I would suggest buying something under warranty, I believe the Audi warranty is 4yr/50K bumper to bumper and a CPO will get you 6yrs/100K miles
