Cool car. I drove one this past weekend at Park Place in Grapevine. The deal breaker for me is the complete lack of rear seat legroom. You might as well have a coupe as the back seat is a joke. I also drove the C63 and the backseat room was MUCH better there, but I'm concerned about long-term MB reliability, so not sure where to go.
My buddy just picked up a loaded LS460 and I'm really liking that car. It's not a sports car by any measure, but for a daily driver, it's a hell of a car. I can keep the C6 for sports car fun on the evenings/weekend.

Guess you drove the silver F demo there. Don't disagree with you about rear seat legroom, however, I don't really use the rear seats. If I did it would be for short local restaurant/entertainment family runs only. Wife has an Infinity Q45 so we use that for our 3 member family long trips. I bought my IS F at Park Place Grapevine from Greg Milner who is the F Specialist. Good guy, former GI deployed to Iraq. Basically, use the F as a daily driver for fun going to and from the office. LS460 is definitely nice with plenty of space, however, I have a blast with the F's engine and .1 sec. paddle shifting 8-speed manual automatic, especially the high rev down shifts. Makes me smile everytime. The new Porsche manual automatic for the 911 which is not even available yet takes .2 sec. to shift. Looked at a C63 AMG, however, I felt the better Lexus quality, relaibility versus the Merc was an important consideration too. I hear that the next "F" for Lexus will be the GS model which has good rear seat legroom. Good luck with your choice.

very very nice....wonder how 360Forged wheels would look?
There are quite a few manufactures out there...but including if they are throwing that special out there
Keep it safe
Thanks! Actually, I love the stock wheels on the F. They are Lexus spec'd BBS forged 19". Was one of the reasons I got the F versus and M3 which has CAST wheels. Take care!
Why oh why does Japan and Germany always cover up the engine, headers and most of the engine bay! I think the exhaust looks quite different too. Another glorified Toyota again!

It's definitely a cool car, I just don't see the purpose of owning a 4 door/4 seat sedan that can't actually seat 4 comfortably. The GS is more comfortable, but the back seat room still isn't that great.
hey I actually think I sat in your car before you did. About a month or month and a half ago, my buddy who got the ls460 and I were walking through the back lot at park place and saw a black ISF. I tried the door and it was unlocked. It still had all the plastic on the seat, etc. I ripped one while sitting on the seat. I hope you don't mind. Just kidding! Anyway that was probably your car.

Nope. My F was delivered 2 days prior to my purchase.

Buy a Malibu with a 252 HP V6 and a big back seat and be happy. Problem solved.

You're right. I almost didn't buy it because of the engine cover and the fact that Toyotas are just glorified pieces of ****. No wonder they are now the WORLD'S NUMBER ONE(1) car manufacturer and GM's stock is at the same price it was 55 years ago. What was I thinking? I wish I was smart like you Storm Cloud. If I trade my F with 506 miles on it in on a much better Chevy Malibu with a cool engine cover how much cash would I have to come up with? Please advise.

How do you feel about the exhaust tips, always a bit of a turnoff for me. Otherwise its gorgeous. Those wheels are the best part.
Luv 'em.
The exhaust pipes are quad and end about 1.5 inches from connecting with the tips. The mounting of the tips are surrounded by an aluminum mesh screen. The quad tips are designed as exhaust and aero diffusers that reduce lift at high speeds. This was done to lessen the requirement for a larger rear spoiler on the car. Borla is working on a catback for the F now and they also are NOT going to have it connect to the quad tip diffusers. Other manufacturers have this design feature as indicated in the links below:
