Default Shelby Super Snake

Seems a 725 HP Shelby is available called the Super Snake. It runs about 70plus thousand and will do the quater in 12.5 at 119mph. If my math is correct that is a tad short of the Z06s 11.9 at 120mph. Im just wondering how much the Texan is envolved in this creation, or is it just the name game as in the later Gt 350s and Dodge products?

725 hp only turing mid 12's?? I'm not disputing your post, that just doesn't seem to add up unless the driver could not drive that beast. Am I missing something?

Either the hp or the mph is off.

I trap at 115 mph with only 420 hp

That Super Snake is not really too impressive.
My old BEAST2 Dynoed @497 gross hp: ~412 hp @ rear wheels; best 1/4 mile time was 12:26 @ 119 mph with a 1.96, 60' time. Watson Headers, 3 inch ss pipes into the old B&B ss mufflers 4:09 rear end No Cats or X pipes and some additional tweaking by Jim VanDorn and his Auto Masters team (Pirate Racing) Weight. ~3520.
ps 374 probably hit the nail on the head with his post, "If my math is correct that is a tad short of the Z06s 11.9 at 120mph. Im just wondering how much the Texan is envolved in this creation, or is it just the name game as in the later Gt 350s and Dodge products?"

Its a 4000 pound Mustang, built by Carrol Shelbys shop in vegas and one in Rohode Island. It has 3.73 gears and 275 rear sized tires. Not easing going quick. Carroll is definitely involved, as my Co worker used to work for him in Vegas's shop.

I read a couple of articles about it; really kind of disappointed. As the above poster said, 4000 POUNDS. That'll end your party quick. And the 725hp version forgoes a warranty; the highest warrantied level is 600 i think.

Also, it took Shelby 3 tries (GT500, GT500 King Cobra, Super Snake)to find something that has a chance to beat the c6 z06. It STILL isnt as fast, and can't even get near in terms of handling. Just shows what POSs Mustangs are.

Sorry for the mini-rant, I just find it hilarious that it takes so much time and money to make a Mustang fast, and they still can't beat a factory corvette.

You have it mixed up. The 605 HP version ran 12.5 @ 119.9 mph. I'm not aware of a test of the 725 HP version, but I'm sure at least the trap would be much better on street tires, the ET would doubtless be much better with DRs. Still a 4,000+ lb pig though.
