Default New Suburban. Yay or Nay?

I had a 1996 Tahoe and it was pretty good for over 100k mi. Anyone have a 2007-08 Suburban? Likes or dislikes? No need to mention gas mileage because I know it's not a strong point .

Thanks
Jim

I had three sub's in your bodystyle.....and moved up to a '00 last year....have been very happy with it. Much more comfortable and much better ride than my earlier models. I have a friend who just bought an '08....and yes...it's very nice...but worth 45-50k? I am not sure I would pony up that kind of change for an suv. You can find some great deals on the '00-'05 models.

Default 2007 Tahoe

I have a 2007 Tahoe that I've been having for 6 months....coming from a C5 Corvette, I'm still getting used to it, and often regret getting rid of the Corvette...but family needs required it.
The Tahoe's quality has impressed my, and the 5.3L has some punch!

Do it. I have had suburbans and now a Tahoe (just ditched the GTO, still have the C5) and I love it. I like the new one's a lot, out of my range, so I picked up an '03 with low miles. My brother has an early '02 burb with 175K, just now picking up electrical issues (they are known for them) and dad's 99 has 165K, only needed brakes (once) and a/c. The news ones seem well sorted and are VERY nice on the interior.

I traded the 04 Tahoe for an 07 this year and there is a big improvement in the ride and handleing of the new one. The 5.3L is adequate for the Tahoe but for a Suburban I would want more. Fit and finish seems to be a little nicer too. Overall a nice vehicle!

I like them. You could get an Avalanche cheaper though and they hold their value better too.

Hey, Jim,

The new Tahoe hybrid averages 19 MPG vs 12 MPG for the standard Tahoe. At over $100/barrel of oil, we won't be seeing a drop in gas prices anytime soon.
