I am selling my 1970 Chevelle SS 396. This is a truly stunning car that has just completed a ground up restoration. It has been in California it’s entire life (until I bought it this year to finish the restoration) and is totally rust-free. The car has been driven less than 100 miles since the restoration.
The body has been professionally painted, show quality Tuxedo black (base coat/clear coat) with white stripes. The painter who completed this car has done many award-winning Autorama cars and it is absolutely stunning. The body is laser straight with no rust, dents, dings, or nicks of any kind. The floors, trunk, and frame are all original and rust free. The car has new bumpers, wheel opening moldings, door handles, taillight lenses, and emblems. The car has been wet-sanded, buffed and three coats of show car polish applied. The chrome and stainless are in excellent condition and has been buffed and polished. It is absolutely gorgeous.
The entire interior is brand new, done in factory correct Saddle color. New carpet, seat covers, seat cushions, arm rests/bases, door panels, rear view mirror, door sills, window cranks, headliner, dash bezel, dash pad and door sills were installed. A new sport steering wheel, weather-stripping, windshield, package tray, seals and gaskets have been installed.
The correct date coded 1970 396 cubic inch engine has been professionally rebuilt. The car has new dual exhaust with new correct chrome exhaust tips. It has power steering, power disc brakes, turbo 400 automatic transmission, 12 bolt rear end, tachometer and gauges. It has new hoses, belts, horns, heater blower motor, locks, shifter cable, thermostat, master cylinder, sending unit, spark plugs, battery, transmission vacuum and cooling lines, engine and forward wiring harnesses. The factory tachometer, A/C, and radio do not work. I have extensive restoration receipts.
The entire car has been detailed to show quality including the interior, under carriage, and engine and trunk compartments. The car looks, runs and drives excellent. This car is ready to show or drive and enjoy.
No expense has been spared to make this a superb example of one of the most desirable muscle cars. You will not find a nicer SS Chevelle. Some pictures are at:
