Default Show me your German Shepherds!

I've decided this will be my next pet once I get a place big enough for it to live. Show me pups, adults, all colors and combinations

Not a good picture b/c of camera quality but in the middle of my wife and I is my boy Judge, when he was about 6 months old, he is now going on 7.5 years old and would go to hell and back for me. Sorry that I am not able to download any pictures of my boy now, as he is a beautiful and loyal German Sheperd, and makes for one heck of a guard dog.

Anytime I hear or see a mention of German Shepherds, those two photos of Django are the first images that always come to mind. He is gorgeous, and so cute with his angel wings on.

We decided to get a german shepherd this year but after some research we have decided to get a shiloh shepherd. You can do a search on the net for them. We should have a new puppy within the next 6 months. I will post up some new pics when we get the puppy.

Not my breed but I do love a good working dog, regardless of breed.

speaking of that,

We like their description of being gentle giants. We have decided on a female because they are smaller. The breeder we have picked out is just north of Seattle.

German Shepherds are one of my favorite breeds although Belgian Shephers (Malinois) are beautiful as well.

Great looking dogs!

We have primarily bought from two breeders, Jane Kerner (mason du Chen) and Don Knight (knights gambit). We buy pet quality dogs. That means there is an issue that keeps them from being shown.

For example, Levi, Hanna and Ranger have long coats. Django had only one ********. (otherwise, he was perfect for the breed standard).

We love the long hairs so we get a beautiful dog, with a known history and otherwise "correct" in terms of confirmation and temperament, intelligence, etc.

They are still expensive (not as expensive as a show dog) but our deal is to agree to not breed them.

They are primarily American GSDs with some German way back in their lines. They tend to be on the larger side.

Both breeders are world class and now, friends.

Velvet is my Dads dog and is a more high end animal (no faults). Don't know much about the breeder.
