Free Sony Bravia TV software upgrade

Called Sony and asked them if they could send me a flash drive with the latest and greatest software upgrades..they said sure

took about 5 minutes

all you Bravia owners need to get on the horn to Sony and get your upgrades

Not quite sure, I havnt gone through the TV yet but the HD looks really awesome.

the software went from 5.06 to 5.12 or some chit ..im sure it did something to the TV Ill give it a good run through later tonight

Not sure about other companies but it cant hurt to ask

My Bravia 55" updates it's firmware over the internet via the built in ethernet port.

That being said I'm returning it tonight to Costco after a week because there's a hardware problem that SONY can't fix.

Sony told me about the upgrade while I was complaining that their HD sucked..It was actually my fault, I had my cable on the wrong settings..they asked what software version I had and they told me it was out of date

I forgot to put the settings to 1080i..they were still on the ghetto settings from my older HD TV

updates made the colors way more vibrant ..the picture has improved by a lot and thats saying a lot since it was a kickass picture before the updates

Should have found one of them left over Kuro's. As i said before Sony is not like the Sony from the early to mid 90's.

Sony's RPTV's tv's were pretty much a flop. I sure miss the days when Sony made the XBR100, a 32" CRT that was $2300 around 1993. I about broke my neck buying it when it came out.
