Isn't it just another customer servicing job? Some are there because they need to replace an I.D card, pay to renew plate sticker etc...
I go there and first off the place is filled to the rim like the county jail day room. So the guy asks what I am here for and after I tell him he prints out a # and doesn't even look to where I need to go. Just points with his thumb behind his head and says to have a seat right over "there"
Then their #'s are messed up. Goes from like B231 to I812 to J846 so you have to pay attention otherwise your f'd. I get up there and the lady has major attitude. No hi, how are you, just says yes with her eyebrows raised like I interrupted her. Tells me how much and sends me on my way with no thank you/bye. God forbid you tell her 178pnds then say no wait 175 comes the heavy exhaling of her breath and punches the keyboard hard.
Any of you have a place whether it's a restaurant, store, DMV where the people who work there are just miserable?
I gotta say the few times I have been to the DMV here I have had no trouble, been in several places in Dallas depending on what was convenient at the time and now twice in Plano and never had a single problem.
It was the same way in Louisiana, in fact when I went to get my motorcycle plate the lady asked if I had ridden the bike so she could get a look at it. This was a small town but downtown Dallas was just about as nice.
The people in my DMV are the same way. I suspect it is probably because of all the ignorant people they have to deal with - as someone else said.
I hate going in there because I am always afraid i won't have something I need. -And if you don't have that certain something, you can forget whatever it was you came for. I swear, those people will not bend the rules or be nice about anything. And who could ever forget the waiting lines.
