Default Email campaign to Michelin.

I was thinking of getting a set of Michelin Sport cups for my car, as I do track days

Then I read this:

We were turned down one more time today.

Why would any Corvette owner want to buy Michelin Tires for their street car when they won't even sell tires to a Corvette competitor???

Every Porsche in the series has Michelin tires, but only the Factory Corvette gets to run on Michelins, NOT LG Motorsports!

I still think that is un-American!

So we are going to be Soybean Filler in the ALMS Hamburger again.

Thanks guys

So I went here:

I can assure you there is more to the story than the sale of some tires .... I'll ask around

Ya, I suspect Luke is right, there is more to this than meets the eye.

I worked for a company that was being looked at by IBM, they passed due to product quality, and trust me it was not a surprise. Our CEO, as the story goes from a first hand witness, just reams the IBM executive out from one end to another.
Several months later, the IBM executive leaves and is hired by our largest customer. We were tossed out of that customer in less than three weeks.
Our side of the story, we are being phased out due to pricing issues, but we believe we can solve that and continue a strong relationship. As I know it today they never got back in, and the company went down.

I would wait a few days and and post a new restructured thread. OT will usually respond with a cliff notes version of a call to address a conspiracy. For some reason, the setup of those quotes and attachments were confusing to me...

Hi Guys,

Here is an interview that will shed some light on the subject. I thought i would give them another chance to have a Change of heart and I headed to Elkhart lake on Friday to meet with them. we met for an Hour and a Half, but in the end I just got a letter of rejection from them via email.

http://glidingserpent.blogspot.com/2...ut-racing.html

So nothing has changed and we will be using older technology Dunlop tires and give it a go. BMW has an exclusive contract with Dunlop so no one can get the development Dunlop tires.

You will probably see the new Jaguar GT2 come out at Petit and the odds ARE that they will be sporting Michelins.

Yes, there is always more to a story and in this case it is probably spelled GM.

Thanks

Lou Gigliotti
