I dunno... too many different new terminator models. I will definitely be seeing this but it seems to stray too far from anything shown in the previous 3 movies.

The previous three movies show 7 or 8 different models of Machines. T-800 (Arnold), T-800 Infantry, the big HKs, the big flyers, T-1000, T-X, T-1 (small HK) and small flyers. The T-600s are mentioned, but not actually seen on screen.
From what I've seen so far they are adding two totally new machines...

The Harvester, which makes sense IMO, and the Motorminators
IMO they fit within the context of The War Against The Machines. Look at our military as a guide and you see the sheer numbers of specialized equipment and then the idea of dozens of different killing machines makes sense.

That weekend is Memorial Day weekend and the traditional start of the Summer movie season. Big releases have a habit of stacking up around this weekend. There will probably be something big released the week previous, and there will definitely be a big release the week after. On the holiday weekend itself, whichever studio has the biggest movie coming out will move the opening up to the Wednesday or Thursday of that lead-in week and count the the holiday Monday to boost the number for the "opening weekend". The extra 1 or 2 days before the weekend also generates word-of-mouth buzz. It's all marketing.
