Need something to kill weeds THAT WORKS
I have a gravel driveway about 800 feet long and cannot get rid of the weeds that grow in the middle of it. Have used Roundup every year and while it kills it for a few weeks, they always grow back. Even tried a product recommended on this forum and it sucked. In fact, I think it actually fed them.
Any folks who work on roads or such that can recommend something that will kill the stuff and keep it gone for a while?
Gasoline will kill any weed from any planet!!! And......nothing will grow in that soil for a minimum of 2 years. You have my personal 2 year quadruple your money back guarantee!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I say "we" I mean my parents and uncle. It was also only done at the beginning of the season and at the end. As far as I know, it never ran off and never contaminated anything around it. The sides of the road were always green and nothing ever grew in the road itself!

Poster above and others are totally correct, you dump used engine oil and maybe gasoline mixed with it or gasoline used for cleaning engine crap off, and that growth is GAWN, best used around the house foundation....gotta watch the bushes though....

Back in the 50's, before the days of weed-eaters, my dad used to change the oil in his car at home. He'd pour the used oil along the bottom of the fence and never had to trim the grass there.
