I am impressed that there has been zero issues with this thread. BMX is very cool and people who have been interested in BMX tend to be super nice. for all BMXers.

I wonder how many thousands of dollars in ebay sales you are now indirectly responsible for?!

I was a BMX'er as a kid myself. Mongoose, GT, Redline & GHP.
I picked up a nice Schwinn about 10 yrs ago, still got it.

I had several bikes stolen over the years too.
My very first bike I got as a kid was ran over by a beer delivery truck at a 7-11.

Saw you had a GHP in the past...I have a GHP cruiser that I have been playing with. It is kinda neat because there aren't many of them around. Congrats on your Schwinn

The GHP got ripped off twice. 2nd time I didn't get it back.

Surprised anyone knew GHP.

I see a guy my age on the bike path now and again riding a cruiser.

Have not rode mine in years, I'm to lazy now.
I prefer something with gears.

GHP were pretty nice bikes for the day.

I had several over the years. IT really stinks you had any bike stolen. I was so fortunate to never have had a bike stolen.

Here is a pic of my on a GHP cruiser at a local race in Brookville, OH (1985ish). I am 54C.

And here is me on a GHP 20" at the Murray World Cup - also 1985ish. I am 85C.

Yeah, nearly 100% of the posts in this thread were genuine BMX related and all positive.

I'd love to know how many posts of the 1000+ I had.

Hopefully you are an idiot who is having fun. I have the bug again and plan to build a couple old school bikes that are close duplications to my old bikes. I am sure it will be expensive and timely but also fun.

No kidding. We seem to be at some sort of peak or plateau in terms of value for some of these parts. If we had gotten this bug 3-5 years ago, we could have had this fun for fractions of the money.

I think another set of Hutch Aerospeed cranks just sold for $2,500.

$2,500 is an insane amount of money for those cranks...but if the guy needed them to complete his project it must have been worth it to him.

All kidding aside it's been fun and taken me back some years, seeing parts and hearing names I haven't heard in years has been alot of fun for me.
