I feel like Dr. Frankenstein....I've created a monster.
I am impressed that there has been zero issues with this thread. BMX is very cool and people who have been interested in BMX tend to be super nice. for all BMXers.
I was a BMX'er as a kid myself. Mongoose, GT, Redline & GHP.
I picked up a nice Schwinn about 10 yrs ago, still got it.
I had several bikes stolen over the years too.
My very first bike I got as a kid was ran over by a beer delivery truck at a 7-11.
Saw you had a GHP in the past...I have a GHP cruiser that I have been playing with. It is kinda neat because there aren't many of them around. Congrats on your Schwinn

Hopefully you are an idiot who is having fun. I have the bug again and plan to build a couple old school bikes that are close duplications to my old bikes. I am sure it will be expensive and timely but also fun.

No kidding. We seem to be at some sort of peak or plateau in terms of value for some of these parts. If we had gotten this bug 3-5 years ago, we could have had this fun for fractions of the money.
I think another set of Hutch Aerospeed cranks just sold for $2,500.

$2,500 is an insane amount of money for those cranks...but if the guy needed them to complete his project it must have been worth it to him.

All kidding aside it's been fun and taken me back some years, seeing parts and hearing names I haven't heard in years has been alot of fun for me.
