I had Diamond Backs. 2 Vipers and a Formula 1.
I found a viper a few years back that I'm gonna do something with, and located another DB locally that I'm gonna fiddle with.

Yup! That bike also came in Yellow.

I have been trying to find my old Mongoose Decade in white with the spoked and not plastic wheels on ebay for months.

If anyone has a pre-'88 PK Ripper, I'd LOVE to own one.

I had one of the first when the added the integrated seat post clamp (serial number 00049). It was red and my sponsor at the time got the first two in OH. This must have been about 1986 or so.

Of all the bikes I had and wish I'd had, it comes down to a

PK Ripper and the Darrel Young JMC.

I know what you mean. I found a Shwinn King Sting that was supposed to be 100% stock. The seller wouldnt check to see if the hubs, cranks and stem were original. I bid something like $400 pending confirmation....and didnt buy it.

Pics just don't do a 20+ year old bicycle justice.

I had a Mongoose with zrims and Takagi cranks with those Landing gear forks, still in my parents garage.LOL My best friend had a Redline and our other friend had a Hutch. I still have the scars in my shins where my chain broke and my KKt lightening pedal imbedded into it.

Man I didnt even list my rampar in my first post because I didnt think anyone would know what it was! It had an "R" cut into the front plate and I used to tell people it was an old redline cause I thought they were cooler

My youngest raced from age 10 to age 31. Had his own frame company for a couple years. He has been to France and Japan twice to race. He started out on JMC frames and they were the best.

Another trip down memory lane
Always wanted one those incredibly light bikes.

btw, Gary Turner of GT bikes now owns and operates what's known
as a "nostalgia nitro funny car".
The name of the car? "The pedaler"
I see it out here running at Bakersfield's Famoso raceway regularly.
