Default Car wash in Contra Costa county

Do you have a suggestion for where to have my car washed in Contra Costa County? It has sap on it from parking in Yosemite?

Instead of a car wash you may want to look into a detailer. Sap is beyond what they normally handle at car washes. Better to take care of it sooner than later.

I love this forum. Ask a question and you get everything except a response to your question.

I've heard good things about this one. They work with performance vehicles and are mobile.

Well..as your post seemed to indicate that you wanted to wash it in order to get rid of the sap.

You don't need to wash it in order to remove the sap. That's where I was going...sorry if that rubbed you wrong the way.....

You can try Chamois Car Wash in Danville. They do a decent job (on my work car and Suburban). I believe they will remove sap, road tar, etc for an additional cost. However, I have never brought my Corvette there. I do that job myself.

I'd recommend Apollo Auto Restoration, in Walnut Creek. They're on Mayhew...not cheap though.

I have an extra spigot looped to the water softener. No need to rush to get the car washed before water dries and leaves water marks.

No one washes this or the other Vettes I've owned except me. However, If I had sap I would ask Adams Polish for their advice or go to a Detailer (not a carwash) to remove it.. I would also budget $300 plus to remove depending how much there is.

I never park beneath a tree ! Lots of nasty stuff in trees!

Hope it comes off !

YOU COULD ALSO ASK ABOUT THIS IN THE CAR CARE SECTION OF THE FORUM

Stoner's Terminator removes most sap, is safe for paint but I'd test in a non high viz area.

how about good old WD40? i've used that in the past and, have had good luck with it. also works great on removing tar too.
when i do treat myself to a car wash, i go to Walnut Creek car wash. on no. main st. across the street from BevMo.
