**Abel Chevrolet's 9th Annual Car Show/BBQ Sat May 20, 2017**
It's getting close to that time of year again. Saturday May 20th is the date for our 9th annual all GM car show at Abel Chevrolet. As usual, we're expecting 300+ cars. The show will be from 10am - 2pm and the format will be the same as the last couple years. No trophies, no judging, just a lot of very cool people with incredible cars all hanging out.
I expect that we will have more cars this year due to the huge amount of C7s in our area. The show is open to ALL GM cars, trucks and SUVs so tell your friends and have them sign up. New or old, we don't care and we would love to have them on display
The local Rotary Club will offering lunch and we will be providing refreshments for everyone. All proceeds from the food sales will go back to the community. We will also be hosting a raffle for some cool prizes (to be announced shortly) and all those proceeds will be donated to charity and/or the local community groups.
Please post up if you're coming so we have a head count for food and parking. The registration is open and posted on our website. Please register your car, tell us a little about it and you'll have something to print out and leave on your dash. It will also give us a number of people attending. Last year I think we had 303 registrations so let's get a few more this year and make it the biggest one yet!
Racechick apparel will also be here selling woman's apparel and racing shirts, hats, hoodies etc. If you have a woman that enjoys racing or showing off that she also knows how to drive, feel free to visit www.racechick.com and see what is offered.
I am sure that additional threads will be posted for meet up spots and cruise locations for people to travel together. Please do not plan to arrive earlier than 9am because we will have the parking lot locked up. We always do our best to allow parking with your club or group, but arriving together makes that a lot easier.
Registration is open. Please only register once and follow the link to print after you've registered. It will also give you the option to search for a previous registration in case you're not sure if it went through. Please try that before creating another registration.
We will also have a free shirt for everyone that shows up.
If you have any questions regarding the show, feel free to call the dealership 707-374-6317 or email me at rwillhoff@driveabel.com

Thank you to all that came out and showed their cars. We had the largest turn out so far with 356 cars. We had to open the parking lot earlier than anticipated because traffic was stopped half way across the Rio Vista Bridge at 9am due to Corvettes waiting to get in the parking lot.
The heat wasn't too bad and there were a lot of cool cars to see.
Thanks again and see everyone next year

Melting Slicks
Will the service department be open too ? :-). I haven't been there yet, but from what I have seen on the forum this is the place to go for service so maybe I can kill two birds with one stone if I'm ready for a service by then :-)

And they block the parking lot off till ???? So others don't park in wrong places and such. Makes sense. They've had people there at like 7 am trying to park lol. lol

It is pretty much first come/first serve. If everyone arrives at the same time then we make an effort to park them together. We block the parking lot off until about 9am and then start letting cars in as they arrive. In the past it turned into a free for all starting at 7am and we had to ask people to move once we started organizing the lot.

Will the service bays be open for a possible 2017 C7 inspection/oil change during the BBQ event?
