I would recommend Active Auto Body in Sunnyvale. I took my C6 to them about a year ago to fix some rock chips in my hood. The first try had too much metal flake in the paint but they redid it (no extra cost) and the second time, it came out perfect.

Not very close...but if you want one of the better guys around...very picky...does great work apparently. Came highly recommended. He's doing a bunch of work on my Z right now.

George is the owner:

Seems to be very honest...not the cheapest as he truly seems to be a perfectionist...but honest.

So far, he's gone above and beyond as well. He went in on Saturday to work with my schedule to drop off the car and then drove me back to San Ramon (I gave him $20 for gas). He's dropping off my stock hood to me later today as well. I've never had a shop treat me like that.

So far, so good.

My father's XLR has been there twice to fix it after getting rear ended (on two separate occasions) and they also have done work on my mother's Avalanche, as well as my sister's '68 Bronco after it got hit pretty damn hard. They do awesome work at a good price and the owner, Sean (hope I'm spelling his name right), is a great guy to work with.

If you're in the Fremont area, I can definitely recommend staying the hell away from Hope Customs. The shop and its owner are both something I never want to deal with again after the run-around I was given on my '01 'vette.
