I'm just about to pull my 65's arms and take them to Corvette Clinic (408-295-9300) in San Jose. They have a guy with 30 years experience that does the work. They also have rebuilt ones on the floor so you could trade in right then and there.

I recently heard that the Clinic may be closing up shop. I don't know how accurate the info is but my source is connected to the Corvette parts business. I certainly hope not because the Clinic is one of the few sources for Vette parts in northern CA.

Another very good option would be Dave Herlinger in Mt. View. He did the TAs for my '69 a few years ago and is very meticulous. He was supposedly semi-retired at the time but as far as I know he's still working. He will only use specific parts for his TA rebuilds because of quality and durability issues with others. I can't remember details but if he's still around I'm sure he'd be happy to explain it.

Best bet will be shipping them off to Duntov or Baer, or buying the tools and doing them yourself, unfortunately. Not many folks left who have the tools or expertise to do these.

If memory serves, there have been a number of bad reviews on Duntov. I'd do a thorough search on them before going that route.

Muddy,
Seeing your post reminded me of your PM- and I don't think I ever got back to you! Sorry! We had company in town at the time and it got pretty busy right after that, so it slipped my mind. Not like me! I'll take a look at it now.

If you don't mind shipping them for repair contact Gary Ramadei at Gary T Ramadei Corvette Service, (203) 776-2813 x 139, New Haven, CT.

I had him rebuild my Trailing Arms and Rear Differential with new gears. He does good work and I'm very pleased with the results as well as the way he does business.

No worries Les had a great long weekend up in June Lake & Mammoth Lakes. Fished so many spots, hard to remember them all! Did get some good footage with the new GoPro. Fun!

Agree...Gary also does great work. Bit heavy (JMHO) for shipping the big stuff to the E. coast. Here is a pic of Gary's handy work...

I went ahead and had Gary replace the gears as they were still available 5 years ago (US gears that is). Gary also had in stock a NOS rag joint your seeing. After Gary's handy work....the LT-1 handled like she was on rails....still does to this day!! After your "Brown" delivery, your in for a pleasant surprise !!
