Default Courtesy Chevrolet Sold

I heard that California Superstores sold their interest in Courtesy Chevrolet to Momentum Auto Group.

I wonder if anything will change.

I hope the personalized, caring low-pressure experience we get from the sales guys, along with the highly skilled, efficient, high-value service department doesn't get impacted by the new ownership.

Oh, wait, Courtesy...

Nice delivery and punch line. I was totally freaking out as I was reading until I got to the end and realized you were kidding. Well played sir!

I have been a basher of Courtesy in the past. I purchased my 08 from them and got a great deal. New in Dec. of 07 for $39,000. 1LT.

I must respond here though and give a shout out to the parts guy ( name already forgotten )

I purchased a new set of wiper blades and lost my credit card after. I called back to the dealership and the parts guy took a walk outside to the parking lot and looking under the parked cars found my card.

Must of come out of my pocket when I reached for my keys. I was not in the Vette.

Anyway this was above and beyond what I have come to expect. It will not get me back to them for service but it was a very nice and welcome response from a caring employee. ( the fellow is the bigger guy in the parts dept.

Courtesy was one of the first places I stopped by to look into C7's before I ordered one, never even made it through the front door after dealing with the arrogance of the sales guys standing out front.

For two years now I've only had routine service done there but I've been completely satisfied with their work. No kidding!

I saw a picture posted on Facebook with "Courtesy" covered up by a Momentum Auto Group sign.

I remember when the 84s came out, they were advertising one of the first C4s for 100,000. I did purchase my 08Z from them and got a very good deal.

You have to be kidding...

I guess in this area somebody will bite.

I purchased my 08 from them too and also received what I thought was a fair deal.

After that though I went a used smaller speed shops for my maintance.

We are lucky to have some good shops in the Bay Area.

According to my friend, they're called "Momentum Chevrolet" now.

Confirmed, I just received an email announcing the name change and "Grand Opening Sale". The Courtesy name was well known especially for their large inventory of cars and parts. IMO, it was a bad move to give up their name recognition. Name changes are risky business.

I set up a "courtesy" delivery from them while they were still Courtesy Chevrolet and so far they've seemed to work with Les Stanford, so I don't have anything bad to say about Momentum. I figure as I get closer to delivery, I will go down and meet the guys.

Will post how the experience goes when the time comes.

Never bought a car from Courtesy and never had them do work. But I just have long memories of them being at the corner of Winchester and Stevens Creek Blvd since I began living near there in 1960
And now that location is Santana Row
