Bay Area Engine Builders?
Considering doing a new motor build in the C5Z at some point.
Who do you guys suggest as the best engine builders in the bay area?
I had been working with a shop for a lot of work in the past...but once again, I can't even get them to follow up (after trying several times). I'm over chasing them, every-single-time I want to spend money.
Anyhow forgive the rant and please let me know your thoughts.
Thank you.

Synergy. I went to Rick for my ls6 engine rebuild for my race car. It ran perfectly at my last scca race taking 1st place in two different classes. Rick is very detail oriented and does things right with no short cuts which is what you want from an engine builder. Plus he knows how to make reliable power and tune the car when it's done.

Right on guys, thanks...that's what I figured. Rick should be calling me shortly to go over options.
What do you all think is possible to build (how much power), that will be reliable AND be smog legal in CA?
If I'm going to do it, I want as much reliable power as possible - and would prefer it to pass visual and sniffer, if possible. I'm willing to go supercharged of course...
Would you all work from the LS6? Or go with a completely new motor?
Thoughts? Thanks, I'm a newbie to this...

S&S Automotive in San Leandro is also top-notch. They are engine-builders only, despite their general sounding name, with 50+ years building any kind of engine. Have their own NASCAR-grade dyno. Impressive to walk around their shop and see things like forged blocks. They are family owned. They redid the 327 in my 67 Vette. Worth at least a price comparison for you.
