If you have the $$$$, this is the way to go (passport 9500ci). Get the jammers too. WELL worth it. I love the V1 but this system makes it look like a toy.

I have Passport 9500 too. I didn't think it was much more than V1. I like how V1 has arrows but I can tell usually tell which direction cops are by the frequency of the buzzer.

The Beltronics (different division of same company that owns Escort) STiR+ handily out performs the Escort 9500ci.

https://www.beltronics.com/store/stir-plus.html

The Beltronics STiR+ is very similar to the Escort 9500ci. The Beltronics doesn't come with the laser shifters. The Beltronics is more customizable and programmable which makes it more sensitive to radar than the Escort. If you are interested in laser jamming, then you can get the Antilaser Priority which also performs better than the Escort Shifters and the STiR+ can be integrated into the Antilaser Priority.

I'll have to research this... I've seen hundreds of 9500ci systems, never one of these which kinda raises a flag. I'll check it out though, thanks.

Escort is more popular in the US than Beltronics, because most US customers do not take the time to read manuals or take the time to choose settings for their equipment. European and other international customers generally take the time to read manuals and adjust settings on their equipment for optimization.

Thats a pretty big generalization. Many of my clients who have these systems are smarter than your average bear.

So if you are selling these systems, why didn't you research which ones are best?

The departments including CHP in California use either LIDAR or Ka band radar. The primary radar used in California is made by Stalker, the radar frequency of the Stalker units is 34.7Ghz +/- 100Mhz. The Stalker units are able to obtain a reading in under 0.3 seconds. Radar can be constantly transmitted (c/o or constant on) , or placed in standby mode and only shot when a suspected speeding vehicle is sighted (I/O or instant on). The Stalker units are able to be quick triggered which is a very short duration signal of 0.5 or less seconds, that most radar detectors do not alert to. Short duration "quick trigger" shots are detected by most radar detectors but do not alert to them because because of filtering software that determine these alerts to be false alerts. All radar detectors emit radar signals. To reduce if not eliminate false signals (in Ka band) from other radar detectors Escort developed RDR(Radar Detector Rejection). RDR utilizes a great deal of the processing power of Escort radar detectors. Not only does it reduce falses, but it also ignores quick trigger signals and lower strength Ka radar signals. With the exception of the Escort Redline, the user is to able to turn off RDR on Escort Radar Products. The user can turn off RDR on the Beltronics STiR+. Most false alerts in the Ka band range occur in the 33.6-33.7Ghz range. The largest source of Ka band falses are Cobra radar detectors. To reduce if not eliminate Ka band falsing the Escort Redline and the Beltronics STiR+ can segment Ka band to exclude the parts of Ka band that are not used by radar manufacturers. The three Ka bands that are used are 33.8 34.7 and 35.5 GHz.

Another assumption....

I do not sell them. Many of my clients vehicles have them installed.

I run an Escort 9500ix earned its keep the first week i had it. Most CHP seem to be lazy and leave their radar always on. The Escort Live app is also nice, as other Escort live users can Mark where the police are seen. Great combo IMHO

Default want to trade

I have a Valentine 1(less than two years old), hard wired into my C5. I don't like it.
If you have a Passport 9500ix (less than two years old), and would like to trade unit for unit, pm me.
I don't have any accessories anymore. After I hard wired it into the mirror; I lost the cable to the cig lighter.
I have a blendmount, which I wll also trade, if you have one to fit the 9500ix.

I don't have a 9500ix but if you don't find a trade and want to sell your V1 let me know. I would be interested in a 2nd V1 for my other car and if yours has all the latest updates, I would be interested in buying it from you.

Mike Valentine has no other V1 outlets. Unless it's a new resale or a used one, you have to buy from him.

same here and it has paid for itself many times over

Escort passport 9500 CI. The new model doesn't have the rear license plate attachemnt. Much cleaner moounting. Finished it today and they did a fabulous job. Control moduale in front of shifter and very easy to reach. Digital display is left corner of dash completely to the front of the window over the speaker. In texas the inspection or license plate sticker hides the unit. I opted for this over the mirror as easier to see when driving as eyes are alwasy on the raod. It also save $750 for the mirror and a long wait time. If anyone would like pictures of end product express a desire and see what I can do to show the great install. Now to test it on the raod.

After my earlier post my 12 plus year old Beltronics quit (Murphy's law). Shopped online and ended up buying the Beltronics 995 (same model that had). Interesting that although bought it from Beltronics store as new it came in a box identical to the one I bought 12 years ago.
