Synergy LS7 Smog package
#22
I thought I would drop my results in here as well.. Rick didnt tune the car.. I agree I need to take it to him.. But I just had the cam put in my car, with new Texas speed heads, K&N cold Air intake(smog legal, so it passes visual), and the Z06 Exhaust mod.. Here is my smog sheet which is due next month..Let there be no doubt, 545 rwhp and smog do exists..and Rick hit it.. Its my wifes daily driver, has 77k miles on it

I honestly think that is a rumor started by people who didn't have the facts. There is ALOT of upgrades from manufacturers such as Edelbrock, Kenne Bell, Vortech, Magnuson Ford, GM, Mopar. and Toyota where they offer a custom tune with the upgrades which are CARB Legal... I don't think there is a way for them to differentiate those tunes from a custom tune.

We actually have one of these entire packages in stock right now, no waiting on the Heads to come back from WCCH. PM us for details to set up your install.

I have some rattling and clanking sounds coming from the rear end.
I was quoted $2K to get it fixed.
I therefore am thinking of changing my gears to 3.90 in my 2006 Z06 from rpm transmissions.
How much would that cost me?
What are the advantages/disadvantages since it is from a C6?
Quaife or no Quaife needed?
I also would want a tune on my stock z with a BMC(like a K&N) air filter.
What can i expect when it comes to hp/tq and cost?
Thanks,
Chris

PASSED my SMOG test today with Rick's tune on my '05 C6 A&A Vortec S/C.
The shop I go to did it the same old way. Under dash hookup, tail pipe probe wheels on rollers.
Numbers were the same as last time...no change..

I thought that the new CA smog laws that came into effect this year did away with the sniffer test. It is supposed to be visual + OBDII check only now. Are you saying that one still has to pass the tailpipe test?
I've got a smog check due in a couple months, so I'm trying to figure what the implications are of the new laws and how they are actually being implemented.
