American Auto-X (AAS) March 16 & 17; Marina
American Auto-X series is having their first two events of the year this weekend. All current dates/events are being held at Marina with a possibility of adding one or two dates not scheduled yet.
More info here:
http://www.americanauto-x.com/
There are no membership dues for AAS events, the cost is $40.00 per event, payable at the registration tent. We start at 9:00am and try to give everyone 5 runs as long as time permits, and you must work one rungroup per entry. Registration generally opens at 8:00am and is open all day Saturday and till 1:00pm on Sundays.

Tips: Clean your car of any loose junk in the trunk seriously though, side door compartments, cup holders, sun visor clutter. Nothing hanging from Mirror, basically, anything that might fall off in a sharp turn needs to be removed.
-secured battery (most stock cars have this from factory)
-remove floor mats
-No leaks (oil, transmission, coolant, rear-end, brakes)
-up to date helmet helps (Snell 2005 or newer but we have loaners)
-at least 7 full turns on all lug nuts
-no squishy brakes
-firm steering column (you'd be surprised how many are loose)
-any stereo equipment securely held down
-check your Wheel hubs as well (those get loose all the time)

I was lurking in hopes to get the same questions answered. Thank you Joel
A C6 coupe on street tires would be Super Stock and run in the afternoon on Saturday? Do you think it would be ok to show up around 10am to work in group 3 and run in group 4? Or should an AAS newbie be there at 8am?
