It has always been a rule, but has not been checked / enforced for several years. I doubt they will be doing so this year either.

yea i knew you neede it but i just noticed on the flyers they mentioned it so it gave me the impression be ready to show proof. I hjave no issue with that but sometimes i clean all my personal stuff out of the car on race days and i might forget it. I know last year i was not allowed to race because i walked to slowly from the time i parked, got my things together and walked up to registration. they had closed 2 minutes before that. Which is fine rules are rules if we followw them to the rule i am all for that. I know when i am at work i am pretty much by the letter of the law so i understand. but i want to make sure i have my insurance in my wallet as well as the car if this is going to be an enforced rule.

Any venue we use requires all participants to have insurance in case you back into someone in the parking lot, open your door into another car, hit a pedestrian, etc. it has nothing to do with te racing itself.
The WSCC insurance covers as a secondary liability insurance if yours refuses to pay or runs out. For example, if you jump a curb and kill a spectator, their family will sue you, the club, WSCC, and the venue. Where your insurance falls short, the WSCC insurance will kick in. This will NOT cover damage to your vehicle - and your own insurance probably won't either.
