Default Save the Date - VM 37

It's official - VM 37 will be held on Saturday June 2nd and Sunday June 3rd.

The drags will be held on Sunday and we promise the track will be in great shape.

Here's a little Video to get you in the mood. You might even feel lucky enough to win the King of the Hill event.

Before you do ask yourself - Did he fire all 650 hp or is his tank empty? Did he just call me a "PunK" ?

Looking forward to this Chuck. The F-14 has a Blown 427 (LS-7) now and I hope it will be even more consistent than before.
You did a great job with the 2010 event, I know you will get a great turnout again this year.

Steve

I can't wait. We are excited to run the Z06 and Abel Chevrolet is excited to sponsor this years event. I am sure that it will be the best one yet.

Let us know if there is anything you need.

Much to my disappointment, It looks like I am going to miss this one too.
I am already committed to announce a Nor Cal Top Comp Assn. event on that same weekend up in Eureka at the Samoa Drag Strip.
Just maybe one of these days I won't have a conflict in my schedules.
Really wanted to be in Sacramento with you guys and the opportunity to see how my C4 would have done.

Good luck to everyone and have a safe and fun time...

Before I forget, recently Dan DiVita of Infineon Raceway was asked to go up to Sacramento Raceway to check out the starting line. Dan made some adjustments with hopes it will take care of the few issues that they were having with their timing system. First test will be this weekend...

Keith,
Looking forward to it as well. I hope I don't face you in early eliminations

Maybe we should get together up at Sac for a test n tune the weekend end before. It would be a great time to shake em down.

Hey Steve, I look forward to seeing you at Vette Magic............hopefully in the final round. I think the weekend before that, is Memorial Day weekend so I'm not sure what all is happening then just yet. Keith

Thanks for coming back.

If it rains and I'm sure it will not, I stay at the gates this year.

Well the rumor mill is alive and very well on the Corvette Forum. First thing is "No" Sacramento Raceway is not for sale. Second "Dave Smith" promised Paul Brander that he is working on getting the bids now and and will have the concrete finished by June. Just in time for VM 37. The new concrete will be from the end of the existing concrete to 1/8 mile. If you have any other questions about the track you can call Paul Brander at 916.712.0126. If anyone knows about Sacramento Raceway he would have the inside scoop.

Just spoke with our Track Rep and the paving of the Sacramento track is on schedule and will be ready for the VM 37 all Corvette drags to be held at the Speedway on Sunday, June 2nd.

If you haven't registed yet you can get your registration sheet at :

http://www.nccacorvettes.org/vette_magic.html.

With the updated track we can expect some great times and even better yet the safest track we have run on in years.

Once again a special thanks to Able Chevorlet for sponsoring this event for NCCA.

Also a special thanks to Rich for helping me get ready for the King of the Hill Event. Your efforts should help me win the event this year.

Don't worry Willie I haven't forgotten about you either. All I can say is best of luck to everyone. You're going to need it.

Chuck, I'm certainly not trying to create any issues or drama here but I'm not sure what to think. Dave Smith called me today in response to an email I sent looking for info. Among other things he told me that the concrete work is basically on hold due to issues with obtaining approval from the county. It didn't sound like the concrete work would be happening anytime soon. Can you or anybody else provide any clarification? I doubt I can make it to VM but I do want to hit a Test & Tune night in the next couple of weeks. Asphalt or concrete, I'd at least like to know if they are going to be fully up & running when I go. Thanks.
