Neat! That track scares me. Seems like the Z needs more gearing. You only had to shift once in 11.

Yeah, there were Z06 drivers out there using 3rd gear only for the entire lap!

Very nice Pretty cool to see what the extra power and longer gears in the Z gets you on this track. I'm in 4th for a good chunk of time with my C6Z51.

275/35 and 335/30 on 18s. Some of the old production is still available, they must be 4 or 5 yrs old production date.

Only had that one clear lap (it was a 1:51.9) all day, first session of the morning, seemed like my run group was filled with Spec Miatas.

Great time for a street car! I had the same problem in my old car. They're so quick that you'll never really get clean track time when running with other street cars, unless there's only a few cars in the run session.

Sorry to respond so slowly, just forgot about the post.

I have the done the following mods myself to suspension and brakes on a '01 Z.

Brakes: C6 Z06 calipers & rotors F&R with cooling ducts and spindle plates.
Suspension: Phadt coilovers, control arm spherical bearings, T1 sway bars, Baer front bump steer kit
Camber: -2.6deg front, -1.6deg rear

Engine basically stock with Kooks LT headers, VaraRam intake, & remapped ECU.

Tires: Hoosier R6s on CCW C10 wheels, 18in F&R.



As you probably noticed, it's beginning to puff smoke on down-shifts, but still is pretty strong even after 6 hard years of track duty. No complaints.
