I'm realy close to doing gears and a tune. Have heard nothing but good things about Rick at Synergy from a number of the monster motor folks here, so expect to give him my business.

Nick for me! For the past year, I think Nick has been having both Josh and Jesse answer the phones more. So getting in touch with this shop has been easier.

My car has needed to be retuned since the build was done almost a year ago. I finally was able to get it over to Rick at Synergy yesterday. It added about 20 hp and tq over the tune done at the original tuner in Campbell.

Final Results were 454 RWHP and 433 RWTQ

Rick at Synergy hands down. Not only a great tuner, but a very nice guy to talk to!

So you had issues with an original tuner? Or you just took your car to a different tuner and gained more HP?

Rick tuned our C5 Z06 in 2003 and it had about 52K trouble free miles on it when we sold it in 2008. One of the best there is out there.

Prior to Rick retuning, car dyno'd at 433.7 HP and 408.6 TQ.

Gain of 20.2 HP and 24.2 TQ. Plus car runs much smoother now.

So there had to be some sort of mechanical issue with your car or something right? I can't see two different tuners being that far apart, and my car bone stock put down 445rwhp?

So there's got to be more to this story no?

The original shop put the wrong MAP sensor on it and the tune was really bad. I had two other tuners take a look at the tune while I was at infineon drags. Both said the tune made no sense. Also, the tuner at the original shop admitted to me that he had very little experience tuning. Of course, he told me this AFTER the tune was done.

OK, your bone stock car may have put down 445. What is your point? Remember, my car is a '97 and is anything but stock.

AAhhhhh.....my bad. For some reason I was assuming you had a stock C6 Z, so I was just curious why the numbers were so low to begin with. But nevermind, makes a lot more sense now! (It's actually not low, it's pretty high for a 97)

The true test will be in a couple weeks when I take the car to the Wednesday Night Drags at Infineon. My previous personal best was 11.678. I'm hoping to get kicked off next time for being too fast.

I'll go ahead and throw the "other" recommendation out there: Nick @ Newtech. When I still had the 348 in my car he found about 20RWHP vs. another tuner (FFP). But now that it has the 427 he found me 600.3 RWHP NA through a STOCK C5 Ti Exhaust. Find me somebody else doing that.
