New Personal Bests For Both Carrie and I.
Last night we took the Z06 out to Test and Tune at Sac. The conditions started to get nice after the sun went down and the track prep was pretty good. I had a handfull of mid 10 second passes and Carrie got her first 10. This was her first time out with the new clutch and the DR's so I know she will get it down a few more tenths.
The 5 best runs I had were 10.59, 10.61, 10.64, 10.73 and 10.75 with two 60 foot times of 1.58 back to back and a couple 1.63's and 1.64's. I am very happy with the car and the new Nitto DR's. I think the car could have been a little faster later in the night, but the track started to get cold and Carrie and I were the only ones left that were still running at 9:45-10:00 PM.
Here is my time slip and I will make sure to get the video up soon too.
Here is the video.

Great times Rich and Carrie. You've got that car dialed in and are driving like a couple of pros. Willie

Congrats Richie - that thing is flying now. I heard Teddy ran an 11.6....I'm very happy for him too.
Nitto NT05R's aren't in C5Z sizes. What you want is a Mickey Thompson ET Street Drag radial.... 305/35/18 - which is perfect for the C5Z rear wheel. Check out Jegs for pricing

Great times Rich and Carrie! Did you drive on the strret with those NT05"s If so how do they do on some cornering (not slamming corners, just regular driving)

Congrats Rich and Carrie. Sounds like the race chick will be more than ready for Pinks all out. Now you need to buy her that pink fire jacket!
Nice times for sure,
Steve

So far we have not figured out how to make that work on the C5. The slave for the ZR1 will not work on the C5.
We hope to come up with a good slave for this setup soon, we have a few feelers out with an international supplier. Keep your fingers crossed,
Steve

Thanks everyone, Carrie and I am pretty pumped. The car is absolutely perfect. It does everything well and we are enjoying the hell out of it. Between Auto-x, drag racing, street driving and some upcoming track days, we are using it like it's meant to be used.
Terry, the ZR1 clutch is one of the best things I have done to the car. We made 14 runs last night and it never gave us any issues. It was consistant and predictable the entire night. I am pretty sure it will hold up fine at power levels right around 550 RWHP and a few trips to the strip a year. It is the smoothest and most effortless twin disk I have ever driven. If you drove it and I didn't tell you, I am sure you would never know if was a twin at all.
Once Carrie gets that perfect launch, I know I am in trouble.

Steve, I changed my mind. Pink isn't going to go with our ugly red belts. It's all about the black and yellow jacket!

I thought I saw you there tonight, but the car had yellow on the wheels. Congrats on your new best times. I only got one clean pass tonight out of the three I got tonight at grudge resulting in a 9.83@153.7
