2nd Annual ABEL CHEVROLET All GM Car Show. May 22, 2010
We have set a date for our 2nd Annual Abel Chevrolet Customer Appreciation Car show
The Date is Saturday May 22, 2010
Last year we had 197 GM vehicles here and about 175 of them were Corvettes. This year we are hoping for closer to 300.
The plan is to have many of your cars on display here on the lot from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM or anywhere in between. The Rotary club and Lyons club will have a pancake breakfast and BBQ lunch here as well.
Discovery Bay Corvettes is also having a WSCC Type I car show on the lot across the street the same day. They will have judging and trophies for the cars registered for their show. On the dealership side, we are having the park and show of customers cars and other cool hot rods.
We appreciate all your business and thank you for the continued support of not only me, but the dealership as well. We have the pleasure of servicing the majority of Nor Cals Corvette community and we would like to see all of you in one place, displaying your pride and joy. So come on down, hang out with other Corvette lovers and enjoy some food and drink. Post up if you will be able to make it and I will add you to our list.
There is an online registration that I ask you to fill out very quickly. It is the same as last years registration. It will give you something to put on your dash describing your mods and any other info you want others to know about your car. It will allow us to get an estimate on how much food the Rotary and Lyons Club will need to prepare as well.
Feel free to call, email or PM me with any questions. If you know someone with a Corvette that is not on the forum, let them know and get 'em signed up. I really want to see close to 300 cars here this year.
I think I'm gonna ask my brother if he wants to go. He has a '01 Z28. I don't know if my Vette will be ready by that time, but if it is, I'll definitely stop by. No Fords here:. I also have a '78 Z28, but that is no where near in show conditions. I had to put the Z on hold while I finish the Vette.
If you've got the Lions and Rotary on board what would it take to use a lot of that empty space at the Muni Airport for an WSCC Autox tied into this event? It looks like lapping Sandy Beach Park would be fun, too. Maybe not this year but it's worth asking.

I have thought about doing something similar, but I need to check out the condition of the lot first. I can't imagine it being in great condition.

Just customer cars, NOT including any stock units or vehicles here for work. That number actually did not even include our 3 Corvettes for sale on the lot.
I was at this event last year. Very cool except for almost being decapitated by Don Herzer's hood when the wind blew it down while I was looking under it. Richie did a good job and the tri-tip sandwiches from Corvette BBQ were awesome!
