Upcoming Solano Auto-X's Including Beginners Auto-X
Well, we are approaching the season Auto-X season quickly. We have a lot of them on the schedule this year, including our first one which is a beginners Auto-X. We wanted to offer some of the Newbies a chance to come out and have fun without the pressure of a racing environment. This event will be catered to beginners and will include a reduced rate and multiple extra runs. We will have coaches on hand to offer rides, advise or to answer any questions you may have.
We are not making it exclusive to beginners so anyone is welcome. It will be very relaxed, fun and a great experience for the beginners. We are hoping to offer 2-3 times as many runs as a usual event and the price will be $25.
The date of the Beginners Auto-X will be Saturday March 20 and we will follow it up with a regular WSCC Auto-X on the following day to kick off the official season.
All of Vaca Valleys / North Bays events are held at Solano Community College. Physical address is 4000 Suisun valley rd, Fairfield CA 94534.
Registration starts at 8:00 AM. The price for Sunday's event will be the regular cost of $35 for WSCC members and $40 for non WSCC members.
If you plan on making it out, post up in this thread. I am the Auto-X Chairman for VVV this year and want to see a ton of cars out there.
For more information PM me or post questions in this thread. I would like to make this years events bigger then ever and look forward to seeing everyone out there. If you have never done an Auto-X before, I guarantee you will enjoy it.
Other Solano dates are:
April 24/25
July 17/18
Aug 14/15
Oct 9/10

Rich will be driving my car this year as he is faster in my C5 than in his C6Z06. So he will surely make Marina a few times. In return, I get to campaign his TBSS at the Drags at Infineon and Sacto. Carrie will run the ZO6 at the AutoXs and her new big-block Nova at the drags.
had ya going there??? We have talked to Rich and Carrie about the big courses Santa Clara runs at Marina........and we hope they will join us for a few of your events. Looking forward to your all weekend event this year.

A folding chair, water, dress for the season, and you should be good to go.

Maybe, but our weekends are filling up fast and that is a long drive.
The '78 Vette would be fine. Just clean up the leaking bearings and you are good to go.
I think you know somebody with a C6Z that you could use.
It is Vettes only. At this point we are probably not opening up fun runs to other vehicles, but that is still undecided as well.
Cool. Your car will be a handfull on street tires. Should be fun!

I started to get a little excited as well reading that. I am much faster in your car.
BTW, You are more then welcome to race the Z06 or TBSS anytime you want.

I plan on making it but I have yet to order the final parts & replace all the rod ends that I bought over the winter for my rear suspension linkage. I going to try rod ends in the 4 link area again... The camber & toe last okay but the 4 link just don't last long enough on the street before they start squawking.
