I'll be there November 29 for the drag race. My car doesn't corner worth beans.
How true Willie but don't worry...They are going to Sears Point and you will be at Infineon...
I recall right after the name change in 2002 and my conversation with Steve Page on how everyone else on the staff could slip and refer to it as Sears Point for a brief period but that unwritten rule did not apply to me.
Never could figure why I was singled out...

You were singled out because you are the Golden Voice of Infineon.
The rain made the track real wet and nasty for the first few sessions, but the track mostly dried up by late morning. Temperatures were still cold as crap throughout the day, so nobody really got their tires warmed up. It was still a fun day. I took some video, but they were of the first couple crappy wet sessions. Unfortunately, the battery on my camcorder ran out before I could knock out my best session of the day.
Good see you too Z, thanks for letting me ride shotgun for one session. I won't do that right after lunch again though, it took about an hour before my stomach felt normal. The track was real slippery in the morning as I demonstrated by going off twice on my 1st lap The last 2 were dry, so I was able to start pushing the car. I still have a long way to go to feel comfortable at Sears, but I'm glad it dried enough so I could get a feel for the track.

I was there but did not bring my car and I was glad I didn't after I saw the Ferrari F430 crash trying to avoid the spinning BMW. I did ride shot gun in the silver Z06. Perhaps next year I will give it a try when the weather is better.
I did not think of looking here before the event and wished I had so I could have met you guys, but at least I watched the Vettes when I was not riding shotgun. Paul is your C4 stock?

Reason: spelling
Welcome to the club Paul, you guys got balls driving in the rain, once is enough for me. Anyway glad you and Z had a fun time. Whats your next evebnt Paul?
Turns out the camera managed to still catch some video before it died. Thanks for letting me borrow the mount Dennis! Please excuse the shoddy driving. The conditions made me nervous and I didn't want to push it too hard.

Not sure at this point. I'm going to build another shortblock and then use it to replace the current tired one. So, probably something in Feb. or March.
What kind of suspension mods did you have to make? Upgraded brake pads and rotors?
Its an 86 Z51. The springs and swaybars are stock. The shocks are newer Bilstiens. I've lowered the car about an inch. The front, rear and swaybar bushings are urethane, except the rear dogbones which I replaced with Banski trailing arms. The front lower a-arm bushings are offset to get more negative camber.
I also have a front camber brace, and have switched to 17" rims and have tried different R compounds.
The brakes are stock size. I have slotted front rotors, braided hoses, high temp fluid and cooling ducts. I use Hawk HP+ pads. The brakes are consistent, but not great.

Nice driving Z, glad the mount worked for you, I'll be in your rear view mirror next time, not sitting at home.
