Mike:
I got my A4 Leather Corbeau seats last night, and got them installed last night too !
These seats are just wicked ! They are SO much more comfortable than stock seats. The lateral support is great, and I can't wait till the weekend to get out and go cruising ! I know I'm going to have a lot more confidence hitting the sharp turns! The stock seats had me sliding all around every time I hit a sharp curve....
It was a breeze to install them too I found.
Thanks again for the quick delivery, and great price !

Mark,
I'm glad you received them and "I KNEW" you would be happy with them. I don't think most people understand how much better the driving experience is with seats that will hold you in place. When you have good seats you can concentrate on driving and not fighting to stay in place.
BTW, post up pics of the seats in your car.

You took the words right out of my mouth !
I will see if I can get pics in the next few days and post up.
I had not idea how bad the stock corvette seats were until I got a VW GTI as a daily driver. Imagine that.. a 20K car having better seats than a +50K Z06 Corvette.... . The VW's Recaro designed seats hold you in like Glue ! It feels like I can get that car on 2 wheels going around turns, and I'm still firmly planted in my seat (Legs and body). I'm much more concentrating on the road, the turn, how the car is handling the turn. Having seats that hold you in tight really inspire confidence in the turns ! Its kind of hard to describe until you experience it. You feel much more connected to the car is the only way I can describe it. In my Z06 I find myself jamming my knee into the door speaker, and using my arms to try to hold myself up straight. Its very distracting, and I find that I enjoy hitting the curves more in my GTI.....
FINALLY, that's about to change with my new seats though..... .
Thanks again !

The amazing thing is MOST German & Japanese cars regardless of the price of the vehicle have pretty nice seats because they are all made by Recaro. Domestic car seats REALLY suck... even the ones in the ZR1 aren't all that great. GM did it right with the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V Seats though.. they are made by Recaro AND the car is SOLD is Europe so I think they cattered the car for European tastes also since they have to compete with the M5.
Mike:
Those are nice seats for sure ! Its about time GM started making seats for "spirited" drivers such as myself. Maybe they will eventually put them in the Corvette's (Where they should be at a minimum ). GM should "at least" have an option for a seat designed like the Corbeau A4's. Its sad that GM at least did not have a good seat in the Z06 which is designed to track right from the dealership.
By the way.... I'm a 38" waist (6ft, 210lbs), and I fit like a Glove in these A4's ! The web site says only up to 36" waist.
When I got home I just sat in my car for a while....
Here are a few pics I just took.
Thanks again !

How much addition are the 5-point slots per seat?

Dan,
The brackets mount to the floor and are manual. The only way to get them to mount to the stock brackets is to custom fab a set, which is possible but we have not done it yet. When installed on the Corbeau brackets they sit about the stock height.
