Default Chuck Gerughty Wins Again At Infineon

Chuck Gerughty made it back to back wins in the hotly contested Comp Rod class last night at Infineon Raceway.
Gerughty from Pacifica powered his Chuck and Bud Gerughty tuned 08 Corvette to a strong win stopping Steve Wellman's 63 Nova in the final round
Here are the final round stats

Winner: chuck Gerughty (Pacifica) 08 Corvette .094 RT 11.609 ET (11.53 dial in) 121.44 mph
Runner-up: Steve Wellman (Novato) 63 Nova .011 RT 11.019 (10.85) 114.30 mph

Also Christopher Martin of Brentwood ran a 10.20 at just under 135.00 mph in his Corvette which are his best Infineon times to date.

The Wednesday Night drag racing season concludes next week on November 11 and will be the final race of the season in the Wednesday night series.

Christopher,
Give yourself a little pat on the back as well and Chuck did acknowledge to me that it was your tune up that aided the cause.
Also good to see you back in action last night, you were flying my friend and I am impressed.
Not too many people can claim a legal street driven car that runs in the 10.20 zone at almost 135.00 mpg and you are in a rare class.
Good seeing you again as well and glad that you were able to find your way up into the announcers booth to visit with me.
I see can't believe that the Wednesday night season is almost over with only next weeks remaining before we close out the Wednesday night series.
Hope you can make it our for the finale, Chuck will be there going for 3 in a row in Comp Rod.
Looks like both you and Willie now have to deal with the new kid on the block from Pacifica...

Tell Ken to lighten up on the NOS energy drinks and he won't be so accident prone...
I miss seeing the big guy and please pass on my best to him and tell him to heal up quickly.
