Default Laguna Seca Video - 3/9/09

GOPRO camera, some audio and battery issues toward the end. This is the 5th session, the tires had already peaked and was starting to understeer at the exit of 2. PFC 93's in front and Hawk Blues in back. I had technical problems with my GOPRO and did not get any video of my fastest lap. The car with the wing and decals is a USTCC car:

Nice video Sydney and thanks again for the ride/intro to laguna . I'll have to get one of those lap timers, it was really cool to see your lap time in the car as we were driving. If you don't mind I'll add my video to this thread as well. This was my black flag lap for sound, I think it was my 3rd session. I think I got faster later in the afternoon even though I had to lift going up the hill and down the straight. However there were very few laps without traffic.

That was a great video Bill, quality and audio was excellent. That was a fast lap; you have got to move up next time, that group looked like they were practicing for a parade!

Hey I forgot to mention my camera was accidentally zoomed in partially. Usually I can see my steering wheel. I've been very happy with the video quality. Its just a Costco camera jvc everio and I record onto SD memory cards. Unfortunately I ran out of memory half way thru the day so I can't see my laps in the afternoon and my pass around the lamborghini .

Sidney, nice smooth laps, incredible speed considering the weight and HP.
Wish I had the time to get out and watch some.
Redtop, those down shifts are causing a fair about of your sound, and
awesome it is too! Enjoy finding open track.

It would have been cool to see where you were apexing some of those turns.

Very very nice guys. Sidney . . . you make 1:45 look so easy! And Bill, your car sounds as awesome as ever. I'll bet you'd be turning some very quick laps without all that traffic. I've got to admit . . . in the open or even point-by groups I actually enjoy weavin' and bobbin' through traffic. What's wrong with me?

Looks like lots of folks decided to go straight instead of turning in at T2!

Wish me good weather next week guys! Was looking grim, but starting to look up a bit. Laguna Wednesday and THill Friday. Can't wait.

I would have had a blast with open passing at that track. But we were stuck with point-by only and with my history of black flags I had to follow the rules . Man I wish I could join you for 2 track days next week, but my fish need me .

What are cats? Oh you mean those honeycomb things that quiet down the exhaust, keep our air cleaner and are illegal to remove?
Not a bad idea .

Yea Sydney doesn't look like he's working hard at all. Imagine how fast he could go if he stopped talking on his cell phone. Don't you hate dropped calls?

Hi Guys,

Thanks for promoting the event...
Keeping it a secret for yourself?

Bill, I have addressed the slow Porsche issue. (sending it back to Germany)

Thanks Phillip . I think we promoted the event in a different thread. You guys do put on excellent track days with an awesome collection of cars and lots of track time. I'm very tempted to get some catted midpipes on my vette and go back on the 29th in the advanced group now that I'm more familiar with the track. That is a really fun track.

I am your biggest cheerleader, you guys run a great show. Your format of running every 20 minutes with no breaks is the best.
