Default Body Shop recommendations in Palo Alto/Mt View area - or nearby?

Well, s**t - great way to start a Friday night! Just got my pristine never hit '92 backed into on the passenger side in a parking garage! : (Took out the "fender" (side panel behind the tire, underneath the hood clamshell, and in front of the door), and scuffed the lower edge of the hood and front of the door. Will need a new fender panel and repaint on the door/hood areas.

So - who does good work at paint blending? It's Dark Metallic Red, in damn good shape, not faded, garaged all it's life. I really want a good paint match/blend.

Recommendations? The other party says they will pay for it in cash, and I think I believe them..... So, no insurance, cash deal for somebody good...........

If you want top quality (100%) call Sean at Active Autobody in Sunnyvale. 408-734-3400. Tell him David Wilson from the Corvette club sent you.

If you want very good quality (95%) at a great price, drop into Northstar Automotive in Mountain View and talk to Al. He's an oldtime Corvette painter that now just does small collission jobs out of Northstar's shop. He does amazing work from what I've seen. The only reason I don't rate him at 100% is that he doesn't have a paint booth or environmentally controlled work space. With the cold weather, I don't know how that could effect things in the long run.

Good luck

Anchor Auto Body in Sunnyvale gets my service. Unfortunately, I seen them a lot since my car has been hit four times now (also in parking lots).

I sent a friend there recently and he couldn't have been happier. Tell them Alan with their favorite C5 sent you.

Default Thanks, guys!

I'm a little less p*ssed this morning than I was last night, and knowing that there are some good choices helps! I appreciate the suggestions.
Anybody else?

I've used B-line and Works Autobody. Both great. I would say Works is better, but they cost more.
