I definitely try to do my best, but unfortunately I can't make everybody happy. I will settle for the 99% that are happy with me though. Also I got your email and I will get back to you next week about that event for next year.

They don't even make an effort to sell as I was told by someone else who WAS going to get a Corvette .
You can't judge the entire auto industry one or two bad customer service experiences. That is

They quoted him a price that my boss was not happy with. He was expecting a bigger break than $1,000 off MSRP on account of having purchased 15 vans at the Ford location a few days earlier.
He left in disgust & the following day I drove him to a Chevrolet store in Shingle Springs to pick up his new Vette. He saved $4000 over what he would have paid at Boardwalk.
Last month they renewed the fleet again. We went to Frontier Ford to buy the vans even though Towne was $100 cheaper per vehicle. (Boss's orders)
Sorry that happened to your boss. We were not a forum dealer back then, but things have changed now. We have the best deals in California from what I see.

We should try to understand what some companys are going through in this tanked economy. All it takes is a couple of bad posts to kill some sales for some companys. The forum should not be a place to rant and vent. Online sales can be a boon or a bust for companys, plz guys.
This boardwalk guy seems like a good guy.
Thank you for your support. You make a very good point. People really don't know what is going on until you put yourself in the other persons shoes so to speak.

I would imagine the demand for Vette brochures are REAL high and people who have no intent on buying one will ask for them also.

One thing they should do is instead of making full brochures make a 1 page flier which they can hand out to customers. Just make a nice color flier for front and back detailing the options and stuff and it would cost ALOT less than make full brochures
Brochures are very expensive. You have a good idea though. They should make like a one page color flyer to give out. That would definitely cut costs.

Tim,
I think it was the Ron Fellows one. Was it his first time racing or something? I know you two ran against each other a couple of times right? Anyway, bring all you can for the April event, the more the merrier for sure.

I bought my 2008 Corvette from Tim and Boardwalk. It was a very nice experience - very easy transaction.

I was supposed to buy from Courtesy, the numbers were already set but after more than an hour of waiting to wrap up the paperwork, the salesman I was working with all of a sudden left the dealership without telling me. (He thought I did not see him.) I was left with a manager and I am negotiating again (trying to knock off $1k from the deal) so I just left - such a waste of time and very unprofessional. The same salesman called after two days and asked if I could close the deal for exactly the same price that we agreed that evening. Real weird.

We have had a couple of customer's buy from Boardwalk. They both had very good things to say about their transactions, the dealership, and the deal they got. We told them a new Corvette is a great starter kit. Now, let the mods begin! Now if I can get a deal on a C7Z06 in a few years....lol.

Courtesy was advertising a midnight madness sale the Friday before Labor Day, 2006. I went down there on Thursday to look at the inventory. I found a vert I liked except I wanted different wheels. The salesman told me he couldn't do anything about the wheels and added that I would have to come back on Friday to find out the price.

I had a tough day at work that Friday and just didn't have the energy to go there and haggle.

On Saturday I saw that Boardwalk was advertising $7,000 off on all Vettes. I called Carl Jackson, who was the sales manager at the time, and he told me to stop by. I bought my vert from Boardwalk that Saturday evening. There was no hassle. Carl explained to me how it could actually be less expensive to buy after market wheels. I sat in my new Vette while Carl did the paperwork.

It was a very relaxed buying experience. I have heard nothing but good things about Tim.

A good sales person would have approached you earlier and evaluated whether or not you were really a potential buyer. Then they would give you the brochure if it seemed like you had any potential at all. Clearly this guy just dropped the ball.

P.S. - I know, someone will tell me about a dealership in Pawtuck, Romania that has the brochures on the floor, but like I said ***I*** have never seen them out to just take one.
If he was a "potential buyer" Boardwalk would be a great place to be. I bought my 2008 from Bill. He did give me a brochure the first day I met him, and I took over a month to make the deal. Bill is a pro and he knows Vettes inside and out. Boardwalk has the best deals in the country on new Vettes and a great selection that they store inside. Tim at Boardwalk orders lots of 1LT, Z51, NPP, QX1 cars and is now selling their 2009s at net, 0 profit, and that's no . Check out these deals http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-d...chevrolet.html http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-d...lt-coupes.html http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-d...chevrolet.html If these prices don't get you buying your not a "potential buyer".

My Boardwalk experience was outstanding! I bought the Vert from Carl in 07, when I went to pick it up, I dealt with Tim. I couldn't be happier with Tim and their service department... Tim, Rick and Joe are top notch!!

Holy Crap! You need new tires already? I guess you better come in and buy the ZR1 instead of buying new tires.
