Road trip down Highway 49

Wife and I are leaving Friday morning to hook up with Highway 49 in the foothills of the Sierras. Planning to head from Sonora south to Yosemite. We'll take plenty of photos. We just wanted to get back on the road again - with no particular place to go. Should be fun - completely unplanned - the way road trips should be for me.

It's a little north of Sonora... but if you head across the valley on HWY.4... you can visit the town of Murphy's and Angel's Camp... and then it's a quick 20 minute trip to Sonora. The two best towns in the Mother Lode!

Make sure you have a blast on this.... I did, left some serious tire rubber behind on these shoulders.....

Hwy 49 GOOD TIMES!!!!

Love Hwy 4, but be careful, it is 1 1/2 lanes in spots and on a weekend you will run into a ton of bicycles practicing for the Markleeville Death Ride.
