Default Las Vegas to SF Bay area

I have to make a drive From Las Vegas to Monterey at the end of the week. Does anyone need a car delivered to that area?

FYI: I am NOT a trucker. This is drive and deliver for "free" (unless you want to help with gas expense).

It can be long depending how you drive:

From a buddy who makes the trip regularly. LV to Morgan Hill. 491 miles, 5 hours, 97 mph avg, 16 mpg.

I noticed all these computer maps are telling me to get off 5 and head west to Paso Robles, then up 101. I've been that way a lot of times when I wasn't trying to make good time, but isn't taking 5 up to the cutoff to Gilroy much easier? I've done that and it just seems better to stay on 5 as long as possible rather than 101.
