Free to a good home - used drag radials
In the next week to 10 days I’ll be ordering new drag radials but if anybody wanted my old ones, you’re more than welcome to have them for free.
They’re 275/40/17 MT Street ET Radials and as of last night night at Infineon (03/05/08) I was still managing a respectible 1.803 60ft time. I’m not quite sure how many runs they have left in them but if someone wanted to give this particular brand of tire a try, I thought this might be helpful.
First come first serve as they say – local pickup only.
Christopher
P.S. I'm in Brentwood (the Northern California version).

07 Monterey Red with C5 Z06 rims. I was dialed in at 11.71 but ran 11.678 during the first round of eliminations. I ran against an old Charger and ended up having to hit the brakes at the traps but unfortunately didn't do it soon enough.
I did notice your car but didn't realize it was you.

I think your launch is definitely what's hurting you because on paper, you should be running faster than me. What was your fastest time that night?
My son and I did see what I think was your last time trial when you bogged pretty bad coming off the line. What size and brand of drag radials are you running?
I once drove my buddy's 06 Z06 up in Sac and I couldn't launch it either. What I would suggest is attending one of the test and tunes at Sac (I don't know if they have them at Infineon) and then just experiment until you find what works best (length of burnout, launch RPM etc).
I just ordered a new set of drag radials so if they make it here by Tuesday of next week I'll be going back again on Wednesday.

If we both end up there again on Wednesday night, would you be interested in swapping rims for one or two passes to see if the tires perform any differently on our respective cars?
