Help me install MSI harness bar please

I want to make sure I do this correctly before I destroy something in my car.
1. First, I assume the 4 small harness attachments on the bar face the rear of the car?
2. Does the harness bar sit on top of the carpet?
3. Do you start with the top of the bar tilted toward the front and then push back?

Good thing you're on here today . How's it going Mike? So the bottom brackets sit on metal and you cut the carpet to fit back over the brackets? BTW congrats on your runs at Sac. I think I will try to go up there next Sat with my goat.
