Default Today's fun at Sac Raceway...

Got two runs in today. Was a very cold day for drag racing, but the track was sticky.

Todays best: 11.39
Todays worse: broke axle. S happens I guess. Time for a stronger
set.

Video posted in tech. Looking for axle info for upgrades if anyone has first hand knowledge about this.

Also, to the guy w/Blue GTO. I got a video of you if you want it.

That was Greg, he ended up with a new PB of 10.88

That sucked about the axle, but you were launching the sh*t out of the car with that 1.59 60ft! Congrats on the 11.3 also!

This was my first time in this car and managed a 11.8 @ 121 with a 1.8 60 ft on Nitto 555R2's (auto-x tires)

It was a good day and got a lot runs (10)!

I think I'm going to have to add a few more lbs of air in each tire and let them screech a little on launch to protect the driveline more unless I can find a good bullet proof rearend.

I gotta get one of those intakes you had. What do you think they are honestly worth? Someone told me as much as 15-20rwhp.

Whats Greg's setup? Was that the car w/open exhaust? There may have been two there.

It is a FAST 90, that is about what I have seen from them. I am not sure snice I did all my stuff at once. Greg was the only blue GTO, and yes he had the cutouts open. He is running lightly ported 243 heads, HPE-S cam and a big shot of nitrous w/ ET streets and skinny's.

Greg has my old CnC heads. They are the same ones Robert and I have, but with 2CC bigger chambers. Other then the little bit of milling, the heads are the same.

Mike, it was a while coming, but with the weather at where it was and a few practice runs, we knew you'd get it with the mph you had.

Sorry to have seen the vette broken. I was watching in the stands in between runs when I saw you launch and stop. I knew what had happened before you stopped rolling. I had the same kind of break a while back and you're just finding the weak points of the car. Upgrade and beat some more. It sucked to see you off to the side waiting for the tow truck. Congrats on your low 11.

Yep, I rattled off a pair of 10's and a pair of 11's on the bottle and a two 12.2's and a 12.4 off the bottle.

10.881@130.006 with a 1.54 60'
10.926@131.107 with a 1.55 60'

11.042@130.517 with a 1.61 60'
11.091@127.564 with a 1.55 60'

I'd say the N2O is running pretty consitantly. Might have gotten one more nitrous run in if the bottle wasn't getting empty. Gonna have to go at least one more time (weather permitting) to get some of this cold air like today, just with less cross wind, ~15-20mph.

Was just checking out your timeslip and noticed your MPH. You have renewed my interest in the FAST90 and larger cams.

Your car sounded awesome as did the silver z06. I got a Video of the 12.4 run if you want it. Smoky burnout for sure. And your driving style is to be admired. Race it like you stole it is an understatement.
on the 10's. Also, what nitro kit is that and jets?

Mikes cam is one that I had designed for his cam only set up! We are pretty happy with the results so far, he is going to throw a set of our ported 243s on there shortly it will be neat to see what he gets out of that. 121mph out of a 5.7 with cam headers and intake not bad at all..

Good job mike!

After breaking every driveline component, now I am able to drive it like I stole it and am running from the LEO's.

The nitrous system has been evolving ever since I started using it. Initially, it was a cold fusion kit and was jetted for a 150rwhp shot. Since then, I have gone with NX components. Shark nozzle, .125 nitrous solenoid, .310 fuel solenoid and a pair of 15#er's with a nano push system. Next step will be to split the shot up into 2 stages........ BTW, I'm jetted at 175rwhp and loving every bit of it. Nitrous = addiction.
